Browsing Persecerance
A friend told me about Persecerance, claiming they had some unique gadgets, so I checked out their website. The initial impression was… cluttered. Several sale banners competed for attention, and it took a moment to figure out where to start browsing. Eventually, I located the “ALL PRODUCTS” section and began scrolling. While the layout felt a bit dated, they did seem to offer a diverse range of items, from car accessories to kitchen tools.
I found a decorative melting clock that caught my eye something a bit quirky and different from the usual wall decor. There weren’t a ton of customer reviews for most products, including this clock, which always makes me a little hesitant. Consequently, I relied heavily on the product description and the images provided.
The Checkout Process
Adding the melting clock to my cart was straightforward enough. However, navigating to the cart itself wasn’t immediately obvious. Eventually, I spotted a small icon tucked away in the corner. Once in the cart, the checkout process proved relatively painless. I entered my shipping information and selected a payment method. What I did notice is free shipping being offered for orders over $59.99. I think that the free shipping discount motivated me to make another order.
Delivery and Packaging
The estimated delivery time was longer than I hoped, roughly 2-3 weeks. I live in the city, so it is kind of a long waiting period. The package arrived within that window, thankfully, but the box was slightly dented. Inside, the clock was wrapped in bubble wrap, which offered some protection, at least. The packaging wasn’t anything special, and I almost wish they used a firmer box.
Product Quality A Bit Disappointing
After unwrapping the clock, I have to admit I felt underwhelmed. The images on Persecerances website made the clock look much more polished. The actual product felt a bit cheap and plasticky. The “melting” effect looked less artistic and more like, well, melted plastic. The quality of the finish wasn’t great, and I could see some minor imperfections upon closer inspection. I felt a wave of disappointment since I waited for it for a long time.
Furthermore, the clock mechanism itself seemed a bit flimsy. Setting the time was a little fiddly, and I wasn’t entirely confident it would keep accurate time. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a try and hung it on the wall.
Functionality and Aesthetics
A few days later, the clock stopped working altogether. The battery compartment seemed loose, and I couldnt get it to run consistently. As far as keeping time goes, it really did not do the trick. I tried different batteries, but it still wouldnt work. While the melting clock looked cool online, the reality was a cheaply made, non-functional decoration. Although I like that the clock had an interesting element, its quality disappointed me.
Customer Service Experience
Since the product was defective, I contacted Persecerance’s customer service. Finding their contact information was another mini-adventure; it was buried at the bottom of their website. I sent an email explaining the issue and included photos of the damaged packaging and the non-working clock.
It took them three days to respond, which felt like a lifetime. Their reply was polite enough, but it seemed very generic. They requested my order number and a description of the problem (which I already provided in my initial email). Following this, it took a few more days for them to offer a solution. Eventually, they agreed to issue a refund.
The Refund Process
The refund process, thankfully, was relatively quick. The money appeared back in my account within a week of them confirming the refund. The customer support agent responded and answered my questions in a timely manner. I appreciated that, at least.
Final Thoughts
Overall, my experience with Persecerance was not fantastic. While they offered a few interesting items and the refund process worked fine, the quality of the product was disappointing. The delayed customer service response added to the frustration. Also, the site appearance and functionality could use improvements. I will not order again. I would recommend considering other options before purchasing something. The melting clock was a miss. However, the customer support gave me the refund on the defective item.
