Discovering Niche Perfumes
A friend recently raved about Niche Perfumes, a website specializing in, well, niche perfumes. Since I’m always on the hunt for something unique and less mainstream than what’s at the department store, I decided to check it out. Initially, I was excited to explore their curated selection.

The first impression of Niche Perfumes was positive. The site has a clean design, even though some elements felt slightly dated. Finding specific brands, like Xerjoff, was easy thanks to the clear alphabetical listing under “Our Brands.” However, navigating through the perfumes based on scent profiles proved challenging. While they highlight “Best Sellers” and “New In,” a more robust filtering system would significantly improve the browsing experience. The delivery was prompt, taking about four business days, which is acceptable. The package came well-protected. Both perfumes were encased in bubble wrap within a sturdy cardboard box. Nonetheless, I felt a small pang of disappointment. I expected something a little more luxurious, considering the price point of the products. The longevity was also fantastic, lasting well over eight hours on my skin. Unfortunately, Ma Nature proved to be a disappointment. While the initial notes were interesting, the scent quickly faded into a generic, musky dry down that didn’t resonate with me. It lacked the complexity and depth I anticipated based on the limited information online.
Customer Support Interaction
Because I was so unhappy with Ma Nature, I decided to contact Niche Perfumes’ customer support to explore return options. Contacting them proved fairly straightforward. I used the email address listed on their site. I clearly explained the issue. I attached photos of the bottle. Surprisingly, I received a response within 24 hours. The representative was polite and understanding. However, they explained their return policy only allowed for returns of unopened products or if there was a defect. Since I had already sprayed the perfume, they couldn’t accept the return.
Final Thoughts
Overall, my experience with Niche Perfumes had its highs and lows. The website is functional. Their selection has some real gems. Furthermore, the delivery was efficient. However, the lack of detailed product information, the underwhelming quality of the sprayer on one of the bottles, and the restrictive return policy left me feeling a little underwhelmed. While I am happy with my Xerjoff Naxos purchase, the experience with Ma Nature will make me hesitant to order from them again without first doing some extensive research.
