Apparew.com Review: Everything You Need to Know

My Experience with Apparew

Finding Apparew felt like stumbling upon a hidden gem, or so I thought initially. I was browsing online for a gift for my sister when I landed on their website. They seemed to have a decent selection of items that could fit the bill.

Navigating the Site

The Apparew website initially presented itself well. It’s easy enough to browse the categories. However, the sheer number of “sale” items plastered all over the homepage felt a bit overwhelming, almost as if everything was permanently on clearance. That immediately made me a little wary. Still, I persevered, clicking through to the “Health & Beauty” section, figuring my sister might appreciate something from there.

I found a “Niacinamide Revitalizing Tone-Up Cream” that seemed promising. The product description, while brief, sounded appealing. I hesitated due to the constant “50% off!” banner flashing near the product image, but the reviews seemed mostly positive (though suspiciously similar to each other), so I added it to my cart.

Checkout Woes

The checkout process is where things started to unravel a bit. First, I attempted to use a discount code I found online for Apparew. That didn’t work. No indication as to why, just a blank space where the discount should have appeared. This required finding the contact form, and waiting for a response. Eventually they said the code was expired, which was frustrating because it did not seem to be indicated.

Shipping was free since my total went above $50. Still, the whole process felt clunky and less than seamless. I expected the order confirmation email, which calmed my initial stress.

Delivery Delays

The estimated delivery time was 7-14 business days. It took nearly three weeks for the package to arrive. While I understand that delays can happen, what really bothered me was the lack of communication. I received no updates about the shipment status until it actually arrived on my doorstep. I had contacted customer support twice to inquire, but each time received a canned response about “high order volume” and promises to look into it, which felt unsatisfactory.

Product Disappointment

When the package finally did arrive, I was excited to see the product. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The packaging for the Niacinamide cream lookedcheap. It honestly didnt resemble the picture on the website.

More concerningly, the cream itself had a strange, almost chemical scent that was far from revitalizing. My sister has sensitive skin, so, as a result, I ended up not giving it to her and using it on my arm to test it out. This made my skin red, thus confirming my suspicions. I had wasted my money.

Customer Support Follow-Up

I decided to contact customer support again. This time, I included photos of the product and clearly explained my concerns. After a few days, I finally received a response offering a partial refund (20%), but only if I kept the product. They suggested the smell was ‘normal’ and related to the ‘natural’ ingredients, despite my complaint about the redness. I declined that offer, insisting on a full refund and offering to return the item. It then took another week of back-and-forth emails before they finally agreed, and even then, I had to pay for return shipping.

Final Thoughts

My experience with Apparew wasnt great. While the website is functional and the prices may seem attractive, the long delivery times, poor communication, questionable product quality, and difficult customer support process overshadow any potential positives. While I received my refund eventually (minus the return shipping), it took way more effort than it should have. There are plenty of other online retailers out there, and I cant say I will be shopping at Apparew in the future. I think the constant sales should have been a red flag.
